Is Jaggubhai a remake of ‘Taken’?

Asian Celebrity July 4th, 2009

Quite wondering, isn’t? it’s been a non-stop downpour of buzzes rounding up for the upcoming projects in Kollywood.
If we had a news about Ashwin Shekar remaking ‘Eagle Eye’, there’s something more interesting with Director K.S. Ravikumar’s forthcoming film ‘Jaggubhai’. The film starring Sarath Kumar and Shriya Charan in lead roles has been stylishly shot around the exotic locales of foreign land.

According to Director Ravikumar’s statement, it has been stated that Jaggubhai revolves around a lovable affection of father towards his daughter and how he tries safeguarding her. It seems to be more relevant with Hollywood movie ‘Taken’ that’s more off that same genre.
An Ex-serviceman in Internal Security Force is perplexed with his daughter being kidnapped by an unknown group in Latin America. He now rushes to the unknown land and traces them out and brings back his ducky daughter.

It has been stated that the grand occasion will be witnessed at Nehru Stadium on March 28. The function will not only see just Tamil film personalities, but a whole lot of known faces from Bollywood and beyond.
The former President APJ Abdul Kalam will be gracing the occasion as the chief guest. As the time is for the Lok Sabha Elections is closing in, the film unit members are sure on not inviting any politicians as the dais may accidentally turn into a podium of indirect propaganda.
A very appropriate decision indeed!
