Costliest Song of Endhiran Filmed

Asian Celebrity March 9th, 2009

Shankar has been one of the finest directors who can lavishly spend the producer’s money for useless things. Here goes another movie for his ‘Endhiran’ featuring Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in lead role. The film has a particular song that happens to be filmed more expensively in the sets of Hyderabad Film City. Patently, sources have revealed that it would be a song on Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai along with 1000 junior artists. Earlier, similar kind of song ‘Vaji Vaji’ was filmed for Sivaji with stunning sets and costumes.
Actress Madhushree had rendered her voice for A.R. Rahman’s spellbinding tune. Also this song too has the same actress crooning. Sabu Cyril is erecting grand sets and each of 1000 junior artists would be wearing the Robot Costumes that’s more expensive.

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt met up on the sets of Veer

Bollywood Celebrity December 26th, 2008

ChalMer

It happened on Thursday on the sets of Anil Sharma’s Veer at Film City.

Long-standing buddies Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt (whom Salman repeatedly in the past acknowledged as his role model until things went sour between them) met up on the sets of the Salman starrer Veer and poured their hearts out to each other.

A few days earlier when Salman heard Dutt was shooting on an adjoining set at Film City he decided to pay his estranged friend a visit.

Says a source, "It’s true Salman came all the way to Sanju’s set. But when he realized Dutt was shooting for Bunty Walia he quickly beat a retreat."

Walia, it must be remembered, was a Salman groupie until a few years ago when things soured between them.

And now Salman doesn’t want to see Bunty’s face. So he regretfully turned back from his meeting with Dutt. When Dutt heard about this, he took charge of the situation.

On Thursday afternoon he walked up to Salman’s sets and spent a good 45 minutes with his old friend. The ice between them broke the minute they hugged. They spoke about everything on this earth, except films, " says the source.

But at the end of the reunion, Dutt and Khan decided to do a film together. The two will be coming together in a film to be produced by Sanjay Dutt.

So what had gone wrong between Salman and his erstwhile mentor and role model?

The two were thick as thieves until a world tour where Salman apparently cut his hand to impress Dutt…a macho gesture that didn’t go down well Dutt.

Soon after the above incident in the US, Dutt had said to me in an interview, "I wish he would model himself on my better qualities. I do have many good qualities.

Salman should keep a low profile and work hard and get serious in life. All the playing around isn’t finally worth it. Ultimately all of us want to be remembered as good hardworking humanbeings.

The hit-and-run incident wouldn’t have made such a media splash if it wasn’t Salman Khan. But because he has been constantly in the news he went to jail and had to suffer. Being rash and brash in life is finally selfdefeating."

Having come to terms with his own rashness and brashness Salman seems to be mending the bridges with old friends. Sanjay Dutt was on top of his list.

Says the source, "They met like nothing had gone wrong between them. And have promised to meet up regularly."

Salman not just helped Lisa regain her balance

Bollywood Celebrity December 12th, 2008

Shaking your leg to the Bollywood beat ain’t that easy if one is not familiar with Indian music.

That was the case with Miss Universe-UK, Lisa Lazarus, who is presently in Mumbai to shoot for producer Vijay Galani’s film Veer with Salman Khan . A song was being shot at Film City on Sunday, and Lisa couldn’t get the steps right.

Not that Lisa is a poor dancer; she is just not used to the Bollywood beat. So while shaking her leg to a song from the film, the Welsh beauty stumbled and fell.

Seeing Lisa struggle, it is our chivalrous Khan who came to her rescue. Salman not just helped Lisa regain her balance, he also helped her get the dance steps right. Sallu reportedly did so by himself dancing her steps and showing her how it should be done.

Lisa was obviously charmed by her highly cooperative co-star.

It may be recalled that Salman had also helped Ali Larter dance to Bollywood tunes for Marigold - An Adventure in India . Unfortunately the film sank at the box-office.

Hope that ‘Veer’ doesn’t meet the same fate.

Bakri Eid celebrations were a low-key affair in Bollywood

Bollywood Celebrity December 10th, 2008

oso2

Id-ul-Zuha (Bakri Eid) celebrations were a low-key affair in Bollywood with biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan preferring to stay away from festivities.

Many actors including Aamir, Zayed, Farhan Akhtar, Sajid Khan, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar wore black bands to protest against the terror attack on Mumbai.

Salman immersed himself in shooting for ’Veer’, a film he has scripted, at Film City and exchanged Eid greetings with the cast and crew of the film.

His family is known to celebrate all festivals with family and friends in a big way but they have refrained from doing so this time.

Shah Rukh and Aamir are preparing for the release of their eagerly-awaited films ’Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ’Ghajini’ respectively, but are not promoting them in a very lavish manner.

Aamir wore a black band to protest against the "life of terror which people have been forced to lead", while greeting people on the occasion.

Saif Ali Khan is out of the country shooting for his upcoming film and Katrina Kaif is away from Mumbai shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s ’Aajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani’ with Ranbir Kapoor.
