Manirathnam launches ‘Margazhi Raagam’ DVD

At this point of ‘critical era’, Real Images and Aghal Films have been marking their trenchant objet d’art. Earlier in 2008, they had released ‘Margazhi Raagam’ –a first kind of concert movie.
Series of carnatic songs crooned by T.M. Krishna and Bombay Jayashree, the film gained more appreciations, especially amongst music lovers. The entire film was shot with Red One Camera.
And last evening, the concert film’s DVD was launched by Andrew T. Simkin, US Counsel General and ace filmmaker Manirathnam. The launch took place at Café Avishta in Mylapore in the presence of music buffs.
Speaking on the occasion, Bombay Jayashree mentioned that it is a wonderful attempt by Aghal Films and Real Images.

Producer Dhananjayan of Moser Baer can be ennobled as the best personality of promoting his films in an innovative manner.Here’s one such illustration about his forthcoming release ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ where we witnessed a promotional bus was spotted running all over the city of Chennai.
Recently, yet more couple of busses have started on its wheels with appealing attributes.
The objective of the van campaign was to promote the film and songs and the teams are successfully doing it. There are two promoters in each van, which is fully branded with Kanden Kadhalai, who ask simple questions on the film and the credits (as you can notice the van signage will not have any credits of the film) and those customers who answer it right are given the CDs of the film. You can see in the images, customers carrying the CDs of the film happily.
The campaign is very successful and is creating good excitement around the film and music everywhere. The people are curious to know when the film is releasing and most of them know the film details by now. The vans are playing the songs continuously, thus creating more interest in the film and music. The van campaign covers the entire TN and will end on 31st August 2009.
The idea has been very successful in bringing in awareness about the film and also excites the people to look for the film, when it is releasing.
